Itinerary
We depart from Marrakech and begin our journey through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. We’ll stop to explore the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah — a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for many movies. After lunch in Ouarzazate, we continue through the Valley of Roses and the scenic Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional riad.
After breakfast, we explore the winding roads of Dades Gorges, then head toward the impressive Todra Gorges. After a short walk and photo stop, we pass through palm groves and traditional villages until we reach Merzouga. In the afternoon, a camel caravan will take you through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi just in time for sunset. Dinner and overnight in a luxury or standard desert camp under the stars.
After an early sunrise and breakfast, we ride camels back to Merzouga village. Then, we continue toward Rissani, the former capital of ancient Sijilmassa and an important desert market town. We drive through the dramatic Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and rocky gorges, and reach Midelt, a peaceful town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Overnight in a local hotel.
Today, we drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll pass through cedar forests where you may spot wild monkeys, and stop in Ifrane — often called the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its alpine-style architecture. Arrive in Fes by late afternoon, and enjoy dinner and overnight in a charming riad in the medina.
Enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city and spiritual heart. Visit historical sites including Al-Qarawiyyin University (the oldest in the world), the colorful tanneries, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and stroll through the labyrinth of the ancient medina. You’ll learn about Moroccan history, culture, and crafts from a local expert. Overnight stay in Fes.
After breakfast, we drive through the green landscapes and mountain roads of the Rif region toward Chefchaouen. Nestled in the hills, this peaceful town is famous for its blue-washed walls and charming atmosphere. Take your time exploring the medina, hiking up to the Spanish Mosque for sunset views, or relaxing in one of the rooftop cafés. Overnight in a beautiful riad.
After breakfast, we begin the scenic drive back to Marrakech. Along the way, we stop in Rabat, Morocco’s capital city, for a short visit to the Hassan Tower or Oudaya Kasbah. We then pass by Casablanca for a quick photo stop at the Hassan II Mosque before continuing on to Marrakech. Arrival in the evening and overnight in your riad or hotel.
The final day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You can explore the souks, visit the Majorelle Gardens, relax in a hammam, or take an optional guided city tour of Marrakech, including highlights like Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Transfer to your accommodation or airport depending on your travel plan. End of the tour.
